Acavallo Arena Alupro Stirrup is not only a quick release stirrup, it is designed to relieve stress on the rider’s ankles, knees, and hips. This lightweight aluminum stirrup has an opening branch that is a polyamide material.The stirrup base is also polyamide while the tread is rugged stainless steel for excellent grip. The “AluPro” model stirrup from Acavallo has a unique lock and release mechanism at the lower outside branch near the tread that is activated by sudden stress. This allows the foot to be freed from the stirrup in case of a fall or near fall. The mechanism is not activated by normal riding actions like posting, jumping, or changing weight and position. The moving outer branch has an easy “one click” attachment back to the top of the stirrup iron. The flexible polymer construction gives the rider a more comfortable feel that is less rigid and works with the rider’s movements.
