E.A. Mattes Gold All Purpose Correction Half Pad with Pockets for Shims helps your saddle fit better and delivers greater comfort to your horse. Top quality shimmable half pad in all purpose style is part of the GOLD Collection at E.A. Mattes. The anatomically shaped half pad will not put pressure on sensitive areas of the back. There are no seams or fabric to come in contact with the spine, thanks to the Spine Free Design. Beautiful quilted English half pad for close contact jump saddles and all purpose saddles has a roll of sheepskin at the front. The pad is lined with dense, high loft 1.25″ wool with fabric backing. Natural wool helps regulate temperature, absorbs shock, and allows ventilation.

Pockets in the front and rear of the pad allow you to add shims as needed for incremental changes. Many horses have asymmetries or change shape over time. The resilient Poly-Flex shims are 5mm thick and can be layered and trimmed. This pad includes 12 shims (6 front and 6 back) for you to create a custom fit. Great pad for using on multiple horses! Mattes GOLD AP Shim Half Pad should be laundered when needed with Melp Liquid Detergent and line dried to maintain the beneficial properties of the natural fleece and sheepskin and reduce shrinkage.
