Stubben Steeltec 2-in-1 D-Ring Bit gives riders the flexibility of using this bit two ways for a different effect. Stubben 2-in-1 bit can be used one way for a softer effect or turned upside down for a stronger effect. Stubben marked the bit with a + sign to indicate the level of tongue pressure and direct you how to use it. If you place the bit so the + sign is visible on the near (left) side of the horse, you will get the more angular, stronger effect of the bit. If the + sign is not visible from the near side of the horse, then the rounded, softer edge of the bit will be in effect.
